چکیده
Intraband absorption in doped nanocrystals offers an interesting alternative to narrow-band-gap materials explore mid-infrared optoelectronic device designs. However, the performance of such a clearly lags behind ones relying on intrinsic materials. Livache et al. proposed dye-sensitized approach overcome limitations observed from intraband (high dark current, slow response, low activation energy), where absorber is coupled with undoped material, which takes care charge conduction. Here, we unveil coupling between both using transient reflectivity (TR) measurement. We show that hybrid material displays unique feature TR signal attribute transfer for dynamics matches hopping time. Then, developed strategy enhance photodetection performances by light resonator first The latter used factor 4 and enables increase operating temperature 80 K compared reference device. obtained best devices absorption.

Coupled-Mode Theory for Guided-Wave Optics
Absrruct-The problem of propagation and interaction of optical radiation in dielectric waveguides is cast in the coupled-mode formalism. This approach is useful for treating problems involving energy exchange between modes. A derivation of the general theory is followed by application to the specific cases of electrooptic modulation, photoelastic and magnetooptic modulation, and optical filt...
متن کاملSingle-mode lasing of nanowire self-coupled resonator.
We report the observation of optically pumped lasing in self-coupled resonators constructed with dye-doped polymer nanowires. Three nanowires with a diameter of 350 nm, 360 nm and 500 nm were fabricated into different self-coupled resonators and single-mode lasing emission was obtained. The self-coupled resonators can be utilized to realize tunable laser systems and enhance the coupling efficie...
متن کاملGuided-mode-resonance-enhanced measurement of thin-film absorption.
We present a numerical and experimental study of a guided-mode-resonance (GMR) device for detecting surface-bound light-absorbing thin films. The GMR device functions as an optical resonator at the wavelength strongly absorbed by the thin film. The GMR mode produces an evanescent field that results in enhanced optical absorption by the thin film. For a 100-nm-thick lossy thin film, the GMR devi...
متن کاملGas Sensor with Electroacoustically Coupled Resonator
Abstract A new configuration for a gas sensor is demonstrated. The configuration consists of an electroacoustic element coupled to an acoustic resonator, such as Kundt’s tube, exhibiting a resonance frequency that is related to the velocity of sound, which, in turn, is a function of the molecular mass of the gas within the resonator. Electrical impedance measurements were performed, whereby a r...
